Huge limestone mansions built in various architectural styles from the turn of the century to the 20's are landmarks of the old money district of Forest Hill (Toronto). The old established and the newly rich populate this area. Famous private schools, Upper Canada College and Bishop Strachan are located here as well. The foremost beauty spot is Old Forest Hill Road. Within Forest Hill are smaller neighbourhoods including Allenby and Forest Hill Village which occupies most of the area. The lower part of Forest Hill Village (called The Lower Village), which runs along Spadina Road, north of St. Clair, is where you'll discover a variety of intriguing specialty shops featuring fashion trends, children's wear, kitchenware, hair care, spa treats, champagne, roses, games, gifts and sweets. The Lower Village houses the majority of the few rentals available in Forest Hill.
