alexandra park at a glance

Alexandra Park (Toronto) is mostly a residential neighbourhood surrounded by some of Toronto's most vibrant streets, most notably Queen Street West and Spadina Ave. As well, this neighbourhood is within walking distance of both Kensington Market and Chinatown - both great areas to shop for food, among other things.  Alexandra Park houses two very distinct communities - the old section consisting of privately owned residences and the newer area which is part of the Alexandra Park Cooperative which was built in the 1960's and provides pubic housing. At the north-west part of this area stand Alexandra Park which has an outdoor pool, a wading pool, an artificial ice rink and tennis courts.
