dufferin grove at a glance

The west end of the Dufferin Grove (Toronto) neighbourhood is distinct from the East in both look and feel. The western part of the area is also known as Brockton Village. Both sides of this area are working class neighbourhoods with a large diversity in cultures and to an extent, class, highly populated with young people. The Dufferin Grove Park on the East side is a constant playground situated across the street from Dufferin Mall. This park is basically a community centre without any walls. It is so popular that local residents affectionately refer to it as their “Big Backyard”. The streets that line this park are cute old 3 story homes. From street to street, corner to corner, this neighbourhood is full of diversity.
