The Downtown Core (Toronto), truly the centre of Downtown Toronto is without a distinctive neighbourhood. Instead this area is lined with many shops and restaurants along the Yonge Street strip, large sky-rises for business along Bay and the “hospital strip” along University. This entire area is lined with subway stops and has residential pockets throughout. There is also large number of rental accommodations in this area. This reflects the mobility of the population, which is comprised mostly of singles and couples.
