the annex at a glance

The Annex (Toronto) is a trendy, affluent residential community and home to many University of Toronto students who want to live close to campus. There are many busy restaurants, pubs and cafes in the area. Highlights include the many sushi joints along Bloor St. between Spadina and Bathurst, Futures café and Paupers Pub. There are also some theatres, art galleries and shopping, most notably the Toronto landmark, Honest Ed’s. Seaton Village, the Korean Business Area (aka Koreatown or Little Korea) and Christie Pits, three neighbourhoods just west of the Annex and often considered the “West Annex” and share many similar characteristics to the Annex including the popularity with UofT students. Little Korea runs along Bloor Street west between Bathurst and Christie and is full of Korean shops stocking exotic herbs, acupuncture centres, Internet cafés and Korean restaurants.
