Don Valley Village (North York) contains low to middle income housing and is home to many new Canadian immigrants. There is a large mix of housing in this area including split level homes, semi-detached and detached homes along with a number of condominium and high-rise apartment buildings. There is also number of townhouse developments which are social housing. Within the Don Valley Village area are smaller neighbourhoods including Hillcrest Village which is home to one of Toronto’s most popular Chinese areas as well as Henry Farm, Pleasant View and the Peanut. Fairview mall, a popular shopping centre is close by and the area is extremely well-connected to the rest of the city. Close by are the crossroads of two major highways (401 and 404/DVP) as well as two subway station stops.
