leslieville at a glance

Leslieville (Toronto) was once a neighbourhood housing factory workers of light industrial factories in the community. Now the factories are gone and Leslieville is now a neighbourhood in the process of gentrification. This community is now an up-and-coming neighbourhood, with new restaurants, shops and cafés slowly cropping up in the area. However, it is still a largely working-class and middle-class neighbourhood and still feels very much like a small village with its cozy houses, quaint stores, and tree lined streets which seem a world away from downtown Toronto, which is in very close proximity.
