The St. Lawrence Market (Toronto) area offers two popular theatres -- The Hummingbird Centre and St. Lawrence Centre, the St. Lawrence Market and a wealth of dance clubs, galleries, restaurants, churches and over 80 historical structures. A fairly new residential neighbourhood, it's a daring attempt to recreate Toronto's 19th century ambiance. The structures are low and the streets are short. The Esplanade off of Yonge St., is a main street lined with restaurants, cafés and hotels that run through the middle of the area.
